Sentiero dei Contrabbandieri – An Aerial Path Between Rock and History

An exciting route that develops along a spectacular ledge suspended over Lake Garda. With a 200-meter elevation gain, the Sentiero dei Contrabbandieri is classified as medium difficulty, but it features a short, more challenging section that requires attention and safety in movement. The trail, free from fixed equipment, winds along sheer rock walls, offering a true mountaineering experience without the use of cables.

Duration: 3-4 hours, providing a panoramic and adrenaline-filled adventure, immersed in the history of ancient crossings between Italy and Austria.

Tackling this route with a Certified Alpine Guide is essential for ensuring safety at the most exposed sections and enhancing the experience, making it even more fascinating and complete.

    Can I climb a via ferrata even if I suffer from vertigo and am afraid of heights?

    Generally, trust in the mountain guide and in the technical material used mitigates the fear of heights and voids, however in case of obvious vertigo it is perhaps better to focus on easier activities.
