Technical Details: Ski mountaineering - medium level BS outing

This intermediate-level ski mountaineering tour is designed for good skiers (BS - Good Skier) who want to refine their technique and take on longer and more varied itineraries.

With a duration of 5-7 hours and an elevation gain of at least 600 meters, these tours follow moderate-difficulty terrain, alternating between wide, flowing sections and more technical segments, requiring solid off-piste skiing skills.

Itinerary

The ascent follows gentle and steady terrain, with the possibility of short steeper sections, challenging skinning technique and ascent efficiency.

The descents, always on untracked snow, offer a mix of conditions, helping participants adapt to different terrains while ensuring a smooth and enjoyable skiing experience.

Tailored Routes & Safety

Routes will be carefully selected based on snow and safety conditions, prioritizing safety, beauty, and an appropriate level of challenge. The goal is to help participants gain confidence and improve their off-piste skiing technique, always under the guidance of a Certified Mountain Guide.

Requests?

Do I have to be very fit?

Ski mountaineering is generally a fairly strenuous activity, even for the most basic climbs you need to be in good physical shape and be used to walking uphill for several hours.

How do you behave in case of bad weather?

If the mountain guide deems that the conditions are adverse, he can cancel or postpone the excursion. In case of cancellation by the mountain guide, any deposit will be fully refunded or, in agreement with the client, retained for a possible other date.

Do I need to know how to ski to go ski touring?

Yes, it is essential to know how to descend black slopes with good technique (no snowploughs).

I don't have any equipment, is it possible to rent it?

Yes, it is possible to rent it, you just need to communicate this during the registration phase.

Do you need a 4x4 to get to the meeting point?

Generally it is not necessary to have a four-wheel drive car, however since it is a strictly winter activity it is advisable to have winter tires and snow chains on board since you may have to face climbs and descents on snow-covered roads.
