Technical Details: Ski mountaineering - high level

This high-level ski mountaineering tour is reserved for expert ski mountaineers (OSA - Excellent Ski Mountaineer) with experience on steep and technical terrain.

With an average duration of 5-7 hours and an elevation gain of at least 800 meters, these demanding itineraries require mastery of off-piste skiing techniques and advanced mountaineering skills.

Challenging Itinerary & Technical Terrain

The selected routes include steep sections both on ascent and descent, where the use of ice axe and crampons may be necessary to tackle the most exposed passages.

Due to variable terrain and changing snow conditions, participants must have strong adaptability and precise ski control, whether on firm snow or technical sections.

The descent, always on untracked snow, may feature couloirs, mixed terrain, and very steep sections, where speed management and ski control are crucial.
