Requirements & equipment

Necessary Requirements:

No vertigo

Ability to walk for several hours uphill

Acclimatization to cold conditions, even intense cold

Ability to descend a black slope safely (no snowplow technique)

Ability to cover at least 300 meters of elevation in 1 hour

Complete ski mountaineering equipment, including AVRA, shovel, and probe. All gear is available for rent upon prior reservation.

With a duration of 4-5 hours, this tour offers a complete experience, combining technical slopes, steady ascents, and an exhilarating descent.

Itinerary

The ascent begins through a sparse forest, which soon opens up into wide, snow-covered expanses leading to the summit.

Do I have to be very fit?

Ski mountaineering is generally a fairly strenuous activity, even for the most basic climbs you need to be in good physical shape and be used to walking uphill for several hours.

How do you behave in case of bad weather?

If the mountain guide deems that the conditions are adverse, he can cancel or postpone the excursion. In case of cancellation by the mountain guide, any deposit will be fully refunded or, in agreement with the client, retained for a possible other date.

Do I need to know how to ski to go ski touring?

Generally it is not necessary to have a four-wheel drive car, however since it is a strictly winter activity it is advisable to have winter tires and snow chains on board since you may have to face climbs and descents on snow-covered roads.
