Multipitch in the Dolomites - difficult level and above

Multipitch in the Dolomites - difficult level and above

Until the mid-1900s, the sixth degree was the prerogative of a select few, an elite who stood out for their skill, tenacity and, above all, courage.

With the evolution of mountaineering and sport climbing, it is not uncommon for a great climber to attempt grade VI and above.

To tackle these climbs it is essential to be an expert climber, accustomed to climbing and the fatigue it causes. The approaches, ascents and descents are often demanding, the days are long and the alarm clock almost always rings well before dawn.

To tackle this type of climb, an in-depth telephone interview is generally required.

Requests?

I would like to climb a route that is not among those proposed, is it possible?

Of course, contact me and we will study together the itinerary you propose

I have never climbed a route, can I climb a multi-pitch route as my first experience?

Yes, there are many easy routes to approach. Usually, however, it is required to have already climbed some via ferrata or to have already climbed at a cliff.

I would like you to accompany me on a long route. What is the minimum grade required?

There are some easy routes, not too vertical, that are suitable as a first experience on long routes. The minimum required grade is 4C-5A.

I've been climbing at the crag for a while now, can I try to tackle a multi-pitch route?

Of course, if you already climb on a cliff you will make better use of the day to learn the safety maneuvers well.

How many people can participate?

To climb a multi-pitch route the maximum number of clients is two. If there are more than two of you, you can organize with more Alpine Guides

How do you behave in case of bad weather?

If the Alpine Guide deems that the conditions are adverse, he can cancel or postpone the excursion. In case of cancellation by the Alpine Guide, any deposit will be fully refunded or, in agreement with the client, retained for a possible other date.
