The Great Civetta Crossing

The Great Civetta Crossing

The Great Civetta Crossing: Three Iconic Via Ferratas in a 3-Day Adventure

The Grande Traversata del Civetta is much more than an excursion: it is an epic 3-day, 2-night experience that crosses one of the most fascinating and spectacular corners of the Dolomites . This incredible adventure winds along three of the symbolic via ferratas of the Dolomites : the Costantini , the Tissi and the legendary Alleghesi , routes that every mountain enthusiast dreams of tackling at least once in their life.

Accompanied by Cristiano Gregnanin, Certified mountain guide , you will experience a journey that requires great physical resistance and good technical preparation. In exchange, you will be rewarded with spectacular views and total immersion in the pristine beauty of the mountain.

An Itinerary of Great Satisfaction

The crossing is divided into three distinct stages:

Ferrata Costantini: Considered one of the longest and most challenging via ferratas in the Dolomites. A route that develops on airy crests and vertical walls, offering unforgettable views of the Val di Zoldo and the surrounding peaks.

Ferrata Tissi: A historic route, less technical but extremely panoramic. The breathtaking view of the northwest face of Mount Civetta and the wild environment make this stage unique and evocative.

Ferrata Alleghesi: The grand finale of the crossing. The Via Alleghesi is an iconic route that leads directly to the summit of Monte Civetta , at 3,220 meters. A coveted goal that offers a 360-degree view of the Dolomites, from the Marmolada to the Tre Cime di Lavaredo , up to Pelmo and Cristallo .

An Immersive Experience in the Dolomites

In three days you will experience the essence of the Dolomites , spending the night in historic refuges immersed in majestic landscapes. The two nights in refuges will allow you to rest and regenerate, to face each stage with the right energy. The combination of technical via ferratas, long approaches and panoramic descents offers a complete experience, which unites mountaineering technique and landscape discovery.

Do I need to know how to climb to do a via ferrata?

A via ferrata allows you to reach the summit even without special climbing skills or mountaineering experience. However, for the more challenging via ferratas a minimum climbing ability is necessary, while for the easier ones no specific prerequisites are required.

Can I climb a via ferrata even if I suffer from vertigo and am afraid of heights?

Generally, trust in the mountain guide and in the technical material used mitigates the fear of heights and voids, however in case of obvious vertigo it is perhaps better to focus on easier activities.
