Via Ferrata of the trenches at Padon

Via Ferrata of the trenches at Padon

The via ferrata delle Trincee is probably one of the most spectacular and panoramic of all the Dolomites. The itinerary takes place entirely astride the majestic Padon crest, tragic theater of the First World War.
The climb alternates challenging sections with easier ones characterized by war tunnels that take you back 100 years, leaving the climber with the necessary reflections.

Requests?

Do I need to know how to climb to do a via ferrata?

No, you don't need to know how to climb.
A via ferrata makes it easier to reach the summit even without climbing or mountaineering skills. For the more challenging via ferratas, a minimum climbing ability is still required, while for the easier ones there are no prerequisites in this sense.

Can I climb a via ferrata even if I suffer from vertigo and am afraid of heights?

Generally, trust in the Alpine Guide and in the technical material used mitigates the fear of heights and voids, however in case of obvious vertigo it is perhaps better to focus on easier activities.

How do you behave in case of bad weather?

If the Alpine Guide deems that the conditions are adverse, he can cancel or postpone the excursion. In case of cancellation by the Alpine Guide, any deposit will be fully refunded or, in agreement with the client, retained for a possible other date.

Will we take the lift?

Yes, we will take the cable car which will drop us near the start of the ferrata, and from there the excursion will begin.

Is the lift fee included in the price?

No, it is not included.
