Via ferrata Mesules

Via ferrata Mesules

The Mesules via ferrata is a rather vertical historic itinerary that, through challenging passages and less intense sections, but without cables, leads to the top of Piz Selva.

The 360-degree panorama of the entire Dolomites and the overall commitment make it a highly sought-after and appreciated itinerary.

Requests?

Do I need to know how to climb to do a via ferrata?

No, you don't need to know how to climb.
A via ferrata makes it easier to reach the summit even without climbing or mountaineering skills. For the more challenging via ferratas, a minimum climbing ability is still required, while for the easier ones there are no prerequisites in this sense.

Can I climb a via ferrata even if I suffer from vertigo and am afraid of heights?

Generally, trust in the Alpine Guide and in the technical material used mitigates the fear of heights and voids, however in case of obvious vertigo it is perhaps better to focus on easier activities.

How do you behave in case of bad weather?

If the Alpine Guide deems that the conditions are adverse, he can cancel or postpone the excursion. In case of cancellation by the Alpine Guide, any deposit will be fully refunded or, in agreement with the client, retained for a possible other date.
