Technical Details: Freeride Course - Off-piste Skiing

Freeride Course – Off-piste skiing in safety

An experience dedicated to those who want to improve their off-piste skiing technique, learning to manage fresh snow, variable terrains, and descents in natural environments. With a BS (Good Skier) level, the course is aimed at skiers who are proficient on the slopes and wish to gain confidence on ungroomed slopes.

Throughout the day, participants will ski the entire day, exploring routes of varying difficulty, always adapted to snow conditions and the group's ability, without encountering extreme passages. The goal is to find the best snow, improve skiing fluidity, and learn techniques for managing speed, handling slope changes, and terrain reading.

Joining the course with a Certified Mountain Guide allows you to discover the best freeride spots in complete safety, with personalized technical advice and training on avalanche risk assessment in fresh snow.

Requests?

Do I have to be very fit?

Ski mountaineering is generally a fairly strenuous activity, even for the most basic climbs you need to be in good physical shape and be used to walking uphill for several hours.

How do you behave in case of bad weather?

If the mountain guide deems that the conditions are adverse, he can cancel or postpone the excursion. In case of cancellation by the mountain guide, any deposit will be fully refunded or, in agreement with the client, retained for a possible other date.

Do I need to know how to ski to go ski touring?

Yes, it is essential to know how to descend black slopes with good technique (no snowploughs).

I don't have any equipment, is it possible to rent it?

Yes, it is possible to rent it, you just need to communicate this during the registration phase.

Do you need a 4x4 to get to the meeting point?

Generally it is not necessary to have a four-wheel drive car, however since it is a strictly winter activity it is advisable to have winter tires and snow chains on board since you may have to face climbs and descents on snow-covered roads.

Who is this course aimed at?

The course is aimed at good skiers who are well-trained both uphill and downhill.

Will we do a lot of climbing?

No, we will mostly use the lifts, but the days will still be physically demanding.

Will the descents be steep?

Not necessarily, in the Dolomites there are hundreds of routes. We will choose those most suitable for the group's level.
