Basic course - ski mountaineering

Basic course - ski mountaineering

In winter, the summer trails give way to expanses of snow on which to draw lines of ascent and descent, exploring the terrain, moving step by step, savouring the pleasure of discovery, entering a wild and spectacular world, but also treacherous if not approached with the right knowledge.

The basic ski mountaineering course is designed to provide the tools needed to tackle medium-level excursions independently.

Yes, it is essential to know how to descend black slopes with good technique (no snowploughs)

Do I have to be very fit?

Ski mountaineering is generally a fairly tiring activity, even for the most basic climbs you need to be in good physical shape and be used to walking uphill for several hours.

I don't have any equipment, is it possible to rent it?

Yes, it is possible to rent it, just book it at least two weeks in advance.

How do you behave in case of bad weather?
